Womin Djeka — Welcome!

We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 International Conference on Plant Nanobiology (ICPN 2026), to be held at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, from 23 to 27 November 2026. Jointly hosted by RMIT University and the Nano-Agriculture Industry–University–Research Alliance, ICPN 2026 aims to advance interdisciplinary collaboration between plant nanobiology, plant science, molecular biology, nanotechnology, materials science and environmental science.

Plant nanobiology is rapidly emerging as an important interdisciplinary field with the potential to transform crop production, environmental monitoring, precision agriculture and sustainable food systems. ICPN 2026 will bring together leading scientists, researchers, early-career scholars, students and industry professionals from around the world to exchange the latest scientific advances, discuss key challenges and explore future opportunities in nano-enabled plant science and agriculture.

The conference programme will focus on four major themes:

  • Nano-enabled Crop Stress Resilience and Productivity
  • Nano-sensors and Smart Agricultural Monitoring
  • Advanced Nanomaterials and Precision Delivery Systems
  • Environmental Fate and Ecological Safety of Nanomaterials in Agriculture

Through these themes, the conference will provide a platform for discussion on how nanotechnology can improve crop stress tolerance and productivity, enable real-time agricultural monitoring, support the precise delivery of agrochemicals and biomolecules, and promote the safe and responsible development of nanomaterials for agricultural applications.

The scientific programme will include plenary lectures, invited talks, flash presentations, poster sessions and thematic discussions. Participants will also have opportunities to visit RMIT University laboratories, take part in focused workshops, and engage in a dedicated journal symposium. These activities are designed to encourage interdisciplinary exchange, stimulate new research ideas and foster lasting collaborations among academia, industry and research organisations.

ICPN 2026 is more than a scientific meeting. It is a platform for building an international plant nanobiology community and accelerating the translation of fundamental discoveries into practical solutions for sustainable agriculture, crop resilience and environmental protection. We warmly welcome participation from established researchers, early-career scientists, postgraduate students, industry representatives and all those interested in the future of plant nanobiology.

We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne and embarking together on an exciting journey of scientific discovery, innovation and international cooperation.

Warmest regards,

Prof. Yichao Wang

Prof. Vipul Bansal
Prof. Honghong Wu
